Making Contact With the City

Our first meeting with a city Solicitor occurred yesterday evening at city hall. We were extraordinarily thrilled with how receptive they were to our proposals, and the amount of cooperation going forward is very promising. Our current main goals are to achieve a 501 c3 non-profit status, and set up bylaws and a formal board. The attendees for this meeting were Alyssa Conary, Jeff Page, and Lara Fury.

The main points of discussion were stewardship and protection, tangibly in the form of motion lights and cameras for both the Old Burying Point and Howard Street, and the potential for donations and educational activities.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, but it is wonderful to see such support so early on! Our website will now be the active way for communicating information, but we will also be running our Facebook page as well!
